I have been taking videos of my family for a few years now, compiling them into monthly videos and preserving them as keepsakes for my family. My daughters love watching themselves, and I adore capturing them in their every day, ordinary and beautiful life. Rewatching these films with my family reminds me of the good. In the hard, seemingly mundane daily sacrifice of motherhood and family life, rewatching these films re-centers my gaze on what is good, beautiful and breathtaking in our lives.

I participate in getting yearly professional family pictures and love displaying them throughout my home. However, there is something magical about videos. Family films have the ability to remind us of what it felt like to actively participate in our life. You’ll actually remember what your two-year- old’s laugh sounded like, what it felt like to have your partner wrap you in that big hug, the funny way your four-year-old pronounced a word, or the way your newborn baby’s finger felt around your index finger. Filmmaking makes present again what was once in the past - a living, breathing reminder of your extraordinary life.

Wedding Films

My videography expanded when I was asked to film a wedding for a friend. It was an honor to spend the day in an intimate front row seat to all the joy and hopeful anticipation that exists on the day of a wedding. Upon researching costs for wedding videography in the Kansas City area, my husband and I became committed to offering an affordable and reasonable option for couples to capture their wedding day.

Lifestyle Films

Recently, I have begun to offer “lifestyle shoots” for my clients. Simply put - I spend up to 90 minutes with you, in your home and capture your family’s normal activities. I create a 2-3 minute video in return that captures the love and warmth that naturally emits from you in your daily life. Your life is extraordinary - even in the ordinary, every day moments. I promise these will be films that you return to time and time again.
